It is ALMOST December, and I’m sure many of you have transitioned over to Christmas decor by now. However, if you haven’t quite yet today I’m partnering with Joss & Main to share how to easily transition your tablescape from fall to holiday!
Transitioning your tablescape from fall to winter doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive! I used mostly all the same items from my fall tablescape in my christmas one. I hate hearing when people stress about decorating and hosting for the holidays-because I love both! However, I understand how it can be stressful and I just want to help make it easy on you.
For my fall table I used a couple velvet pumpkins, this super soft fur table runner, a dough bowl, and bells as my base decorative items. Another affordable way to decorate for the holidays is to use natural elements-some of which you can probably find in your fridge or yard! I used some eucalyptus, evergreen, and oranges to intersperse throughout and even used the eucalyptus as a faux placemat. Another added bonus-it makes it smell great!
And then for the dinnerware I chose these matte gray plates, simple white napkins, gold flatware and gold accent champagne flutes! I love the neutral colors in my dinnerware with the added pop of a little gold.
Now, to transition to a more Christmas-y themed table it’s easy peasy! I swapped out my dough bowl and pumpkins for a little more greenery with my garland. And anywhere you can add in twinkle lights, I say do it! I wove some through along with the bells into the garland. I also love this star platter for displaying or serving, perfect for year round but especially for my Christmas tablescape!
That’s it! Can you believe it’s that easy to transition a tablescape from fall to christmas? It took me only about 15-20 minutes per tablescape to set up.
