Baby G: Gender Neutral Nursery

I’m 35 weeks and have finished baby G’s gender neutral nursery, with time to spare! You may remember I shared our inspo here and little sneak peek here. And now for the final product:

I am beyond happy with how baby G’s nursery turned out! Everytime I walk by and the door is open I just get a huge smile on my face. This has honestly probably been my all time favorite space to design, ever. Most people who find out we aren’t finding out the gender are completely appalled! They have so many questions, how are you buying clothes? what’s the nursery going to look like? the list goes on. Ya’ll it is not rocket science! Gender neutral is SO easy right now, hello all the neutral colors. Also, my personal style isn’t crazy into “gendered” colors and I lean towards more neutrals, yellows, light blues, olives etc.

When I started out my focal point that I was working off was the beautiful olive green crib. I’m still so happy by this selection and think I will only love it more as time goes on. It will be so pretty paired with blush pinks if baby G is a girl, or more blues and yellows if it’s a boy!

From there I knew most other elements in the room would be fairly neutral: like all the white in the rugs, walls, window treatments and even on the dresser. However, I really wanted an accent wall. I waffled between shiplap, just a painted accent wall and wallpaper. As you can see I ultimately landed on wallpaper from Rebel Walls. My amazing MIL helped me put up the wallpaper on a Sunday afternoon in a couple hours. It was honestly so easy and how they send it to you makes it a breeze. I plan to share more about this process in a separate post because I definitely am a believer in Rebel Walls wallpaper over other brands I’ve used!

Lastly, I added in a few practical accessories. Those acrylic wall shelves are a little of both worlds: decorative and functional. I put them higher up on the wall so that the glider wouldn’t run into them and so babe can’t pull down on them in the future. I’m sure once they are more toddler age we will get them an actual bookcase they can access easily but for now it works in the space and doesn’t  intrude on floor space.

And that’s it! This gender neutral nursery is ready for this sweet babe to make it’s arrival! Check out my sources and links below and let me know if you have any other questions about where I got anything!
