We recently traveled to Napa by way of San Fran. To read more about our time in Napa, head here. On our way back we spent the day in San Francisco. I had spent some time in San Fran before but the hubs hadn’t. I remember loving San Fran, and my sentiments haven’t changed!
We fit a lot of San Fran into about 6 hours! We headed back from Napa through the fog via the Golden Gate bridge. Of course, we had to get out and snap a Golden Gate pic or 2! After we got our pics-we headed to the painted ladies! I wasn’t able to check these out the last time I was in San Fran so it was a must see this time around.
After that we headed to Fisherman’s Wharf. Heading there on a Sunday morning was perfect as it wasn’t super busy yet! We were also able to walk around in the warm sun which felt great after a couple of harsh winter weeks in the midwest. We snacked on some delicious mini donuts, saw the sea lions, and enjoyed a bit of people watching.
After that we headed downtown to walk around and do some window shopping! San Fran is the perfect place for window shopping and you’ll also get your steps in for the day. After we had our fill of window shopping and lunch we headed for Silicon Valley!
We drove by Facebook’s enormous campus and saw the second location they’re building out which looks amazing! More info about that here.
After that we went to Google and walked around. Both of these campuses had bikes, parks and so much more! Definitely looks like they are fun places to work.
The last place we visited was Stanford, which is the last picture on this post. Holy beautiful! We visited Harvard and MIT a couple years back but they don’t compare! I’ve never seen a prettier campus. If you make it out to San Fran I definitely recommend checking out Stanford, the painted ladies, and of course the Golden Gate. Those are my top picks if you only have a short amount of time like we did!
