Everyday Fitness

Guess what?? It’s almost Friday! I posted a couple weeks ago about a couple fitness trackers I had the chance to try thanks to Verizon and wanted to come back today to talk about everyday fitness for the everyday mrs!

For me being fit is something that is important to me so I try to create a healthy lifestyle around the activities that I already or enjoy doing! Including walking my puppy…

Though I’ve posted a lot about Nova on social media this is her official debut on EverydayMrs, can’t believe how much she’s already grown since then!!

Since we brought Nova home about a month ago I’ve been trying to take her on a walk everyday even if it’s really short, she’s slowly getting better at walks so that makes our longer walks now possible 🙂 By taking even short walks everyday that count toward my steps goal I feel like that is true “everyday fitness”. Though the fitness trackers won’t make you fit on your own they may encourage you to set and reach your goals no matter how small or big they may be. It will urge you to get more steps, to stand when you’ve been sitting for long periods of time, to get more sleep and tell you more about your eating habits if you track them with the apps. I think sometimes making a small investment in something like a fitness tracker helps encourage you along as well as now you have money invested in being fit also!

Another fun way to encourage a healthy lifestyle could be buying funny fitness themed graphic tees like these my mom and I may or may not have picked up at Target one Sunday 🙂

No matter how it is you get your “steps” in on your fitness trackers-walking your dog, pure barre, running marathons just get out there and get fit by being active!

Though my husband clearly isn’t wearing any Stella&Dot I still had to share this pic because it was a gorgeous day and we usually aren’t dressed up together!

One of the great things that I love about this jewelry line is the opportunity to wear there pieces, usually when you buy one piece whether it’s a necklace, earrings, or bracelets you can wear them multiple ways. Like this necklace that I’m wearing here. You can wear it with the blue stones forward like I chose to or flip it and it will just be a beautiful mixed metal look!

Such a fun pop with the neutral sweater I went with but pulled in the blue from the pants! The earrings I’m wearing here I wore the night before with the turquoise fringe piece attached but for this look removed that part so they were simpler in order for the necklace to be the true statement piece.

KCFW: Spring Runway pt 2

Welcome to the second and final runway event I attended at KCFW! This was definitely my favorite evening, I was so inspired by all of the runway shows of the evening at Saturday’s show.

Saturday evening I attended with my beautiful mom and one of my close friends who lives in KC!

Love love loved this line!!! Seriously all the gowns were gorgeous and unique in their own way

How about that fur?? Perfect for that winter wedding right?

And this gown, was my favorite of both of the shows, the picture below was our first look of her coming down the runway and then she ran her hands up the gown and the sequins flipped to be silver versus champagne!

I’m all about trains and this one aimed to please!

There’s something about long sheer sleeves on a gown that also get. Loved this runway look also, gorgeous for the fall and winter.

I really have no clue where I would wear this to or what event it would work for but wow!

Not sure the hubs would go for any of these looks but a girl can try right??

And there you have it! I took so many photos both evenings but I wanted to narrow it down to my absolute faves of the runway. What is your favorite? Did you attend, if so who was your favorite designer? Looking forward to fall’s show for spring 2017!

KCFW Spring Runway

If you’ve been following along with me on instagram you’ll know I went to KCFW last week for their Spring runway events Friday and Saturday evening. I was very excited to be able to be official media for the event on both Friday and Saturdays runway shows. I had a blast both evenings and can’t wait to share more about my experiences! First up in Friday night’s runway was Jill with My Heirloom Bridal who you might remember I interviewed!

Loved getting to see the fall/winter collection of My Heirloom Bridal after interviewing Jill and experiencing her unique take on bridal wear. She was definitely right that she has a different take on bridal wear with her different silhouettes, colors and accessories.

This was one of my fave gowns in her collections, the trains and body veil on this gown were simply stunning!

And here’s Jill with one of her models! Loved her entire collection, if you’re a newly engaged gal I would definitely look up Jill and see what beautiful gown she could create for one of the most important days of your life. No doubt it will be special and oh so memorable.

Throughout the weekend there were several younger designers which was so inspiring that these young girls are motivated to go out there and be creative and show the world they aren’t afraid to do so!

And here is some of Kiana Godsey’s line for Fall/Winter 2016. Gold and black were a huge hit on the runway, I loved how sultry and fitting her looks were with an elegant touch to all of them.

Overall my first evening at KCFW was a lot of fun, I saw quite a few familiar faces from Go Blog Social that I attended earlier this month as well as met a few other bloggers. Stay tuned for Saturday night’s runway looks tomorrow!
